Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Chemical Engineering

I hold a chemical engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin and am now a practicing chemical engineer. I have extensive experience in Chemistry, Calculus, Physics and Biology. I also have tutored several subject surrounding the field of Chemical Engineering.

Differential Equations

I am a chemical engineer and to get my degree, I had to take a Differential Equations course which covered how to solve ODEs and systems of differential equations. I also took a numerical methods class which had the pre-req and heavily used the topic of differential equations during the course. I also recently tutored a student in numerical analysis which included the topic of how to solve differential equations.

Organic Chemistry

I am a chemical engineer. I have taken 2 college courses on organic chemistry. I also took two hands-on labs for applied organic chemistry. Also, organic chemical concepts have crept up in my many other chemistry classes I took in college.

As a professional, I worked as a unit engineer which utilized organic chemistry to create olefins and polymers.

Tennis

I played competitive tennis throughout high school. I previously ran a side business where I gave tennis lessons. I also have experience giving tennis lessons to kids for a summer camp.
