About Christopher

Heyo!

I am a Cambridge-certified (CELTA) English teacher at an international school in downtown San Francisco. I am also a TOEFL iBT Exam instructor, if you need help getting in to colleges in the U.S.

I have flexible hours, I am available throughout most of San Francisco, and I teach a wide range of levels, from beginner through proficiency.

I am a native English speaker with a passion for languages, and I enjoy working with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds everyday.

I work well with people from all language backgrounds.

I also speak some Spanish and French, and can help speakers of these languages who need additional help or focus.

I thought many of my teachers were boring when I was a student. I became a teacher because I think learning should be fun!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
