I have recently spent six months living in Paris as an exchange student, where I had the opportunity to perfect my skills and pronunciation, expand my knowledge of the French culture which included working in a French business as a marketing/translation intern. As I am now back in the United States having graduated with a degree in economics and French, I hope that I can share my passion for languages with anyone who is open to learning. In addition, I have experience volunteering my time as a teaching assistant, helping plan lessons, and assisting students with work. I am able to adjust to the different abilities of students, and have no problem increasing the pace of the lesson, or re-explaining grammatical rules; my goal is to help you succeed and reach your full potential. With my prior teaching experience and a very flexible schedule, please don't hesitate to contact me as I am available immediately and would love all opportunities to help you improve your level of French. à bientôt!

I am very knowledgeable about the French language. I have been studying French for many years and have extensive knowledge of the language. I have recently spent 6 months living in Paris as an exchange student, where I had the opportunity to perfect my skills and pronunciation, expand my knowledge of the French culture which included working in a French business as a Marketing/ Translation intern. In addition, I took an intensive French course, 'cours de civilisation de Francaise de la Sorbonne' at Paris IV while abroad at the B1 French standardized level, where I had class 3 hours every day, 5 times per week to critique grammar and phonetics. These courses were taught solely in French. In addition, at the University of Connecticut, I took various upper-level French courses, including French Grammar and Culture, French History, Business French (to learn technical French terms), and French Phonetics, where I learned the entire phonetic alphabet, and correct pronunciation.Currently, having graduated with a degree in Economics and French, I work in translation, where I proofread and edit french documents on a daily basis. My prior experience along with my current position leaves me well equipped to handle the tasks and challenges of being a tutor.

Martial Arts

I have been studying taekwondo for over 14 years, and currently hold a 3rd degree black belt. I have competed in many different competitions, in Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, and Massachusetts for state-wide and collegiate level competitions. I have won first place in both sparring and forms, qualifying me to compete on the national level. In addition, I have had the opportunity to train in France with world champion martial artists, and perfect my skill. Currently I teach children's classes at my dojang (school) to help them critique their form and skill, as well as teaching them new kicks and technique. I have been teaching for 6 years, and continue to do so, as well as train so that I continue to progress and pass my skills down to others.
