Greetings fellow scholars,
My name is Jessica, but most call me Verse. My tutoring career started in high school, where I tutored fellow classmates and students in grades k-12. I tutored fellow high schoolers in mathematics, edited papers (grammar, sentence structure, and spelling), and psychology. Also, as a volunteer for the Chicago Youth Centers (CYC) I helped students k-8th grade in subjects such as math and reading. During my undergraduate studies I taught and facilitated workshops in theater, performing arts, and poetry.
I enjoy learning and sharing my knowledge. I am a diverse scholar and can aid in tutoring in various disciplines. I'm very flexible and approachable. I have a great sense of humor and I always strive to make learning a fun activity. I hope I get the opportunity to teach but also learn from you. Greetings fellow scholars,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
