I have worked in numerous capacities in the legal profession and have a tremendous amount of hands-on experience that will make your learning experience the most productive. I offer personalized tutoring of legal studies for the entry-level student. Whether it be a specific area of law or generalized subjects.. You name it. I can teach it. My methods are different in that, not only do I cover the basics and fundamentals of the law, which any experienced pro can do, I work together with the student to formulate a targeted approach to your specific area or areas of interest.
I have taught paralegal studies for over 10 years in an academic setting, as well as mentored and trained paralegals for all types of areas of law. I am a graduate of the UCLA Extension School of Law Attorney Assistant Training Program with a specialty in Litigation, attended Western State University College of Law and have a AA Degree in Liberal Arts from Mt. San Antonio College. I am also a graduate of the United States Academy of Private Investigation, The Abts Institute of Estate Preservation, The Credit and Debt Institute, the Rose Hills Memorial Park Academy of Estate Planning and the Herbert Hawkins School of Real Estate. For several years, I served as an Advisory Board Member of two college paralegal programs.
In addition, I am a licensed private investigator with experience in civil, criminal, family law, estate planning and real estate matters. I have a license with the Department of Real Estate as a sales agent and am a bonded and certified process server. From 1993-2013, I owned and operated a paralegal services company providing legal support services to attorneys, small businesses and individuals in the areas of small claims, investigations, process serving, court research, dispute resolution, settlement negotiations, collections, family law, bankruptcy, wills and trusts, criminal law, and personal injury. I am a former Small Claims Court advisor with the Department of Consumer Affairs with the County of Los Angeles.
Professional organizations I have belonged to include: The National Association of Legal Assistants, The Los Angeles Paralegal Association, The California Association of Independent Paralegals, The California Association of Licensed Investigators, The National Association of Legal Document Prepares, National Paralegal Association National Association of Legal Investigators and the National Association of Professional Process Servers.
I have worked with and for the individual attorney (sole practitioner) to the corporate law firm. I have worked on small minor cases to major criminal cases. I have worked with and for hundreds of individuals, families and businesses who could not afford the high prices of an attorney to assist them in their legal or personal or business problems.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taught paralegal studies for over 10 years in a vocational college setting. This included teaching Criminal Law & Procedure and Constitutional Law. I have worked with and for criminal law attorneys for over 20 years handling all types of criminal cases, including: DUI's, Assault and Battery, Molestation Cases, Homicide and many others. Have investigated missing persons cases, real estate fraud, domestic violence cases.
I have over 35 years experience in the legal profession as a paralegal, legal assistant, case manager, investigator, private investigator. I'm a graduate of UCLA Extension School of Law Attorney Assistant Training Program with specialty in Litigation. I attended Western State University College of Law, AA Degree from Mt. San Antonio College.
From 2007-2014, I was an instructor of Paralegal Studies at ICDC College in Huntington Park, CA teaching subjects such as: Criminal Law and Procedure, Civil Litigation/Procedure/ Constitutional Law, Family Law, Labor Law, Real Property, Business Law, Wills and Trusts, Bankruptcy, Immigration and numerous other subjects.

I studied political science in college, as a minor. I was on debate team and won 1st place on project/topic of JFK Assassination. I was Chief Justice of the Student Court at Mt. San Antonio College. I was Assistant VP of the San Gabriel Valley Chapter of ACLU in the late 1970's, early 1980's. I have been a guest lecturer for political science and American government classes at local junior high and high schools.
I have taught law classes at the College level for over 7 years.
I was on debate team in college and won 1st Place in Persuasive and Informational categories. I was guest lecturer for numerous music and entertainment industry events, seminars and workshops for 15 years. I have been a guest speaker in several business and industry related organizations.
I taught music business and law related courses in community adult education and vocational college classes for over 15 years speaking in front of large groups.
