Bio

Hi, I'm Trevor! I have my Bachelors in Bio-mechanical Engineering at UCSD and my Master in Product Design Engineering at Kingston University. I have been a hired tutor for all levels of calculus, mechanics, robotics, CAD (computer aided design) and a wide variety of other engineering related courses. I have also started 3 of my own engineering companies based off my patented inventions and coach students on how to start their own companies and build off their creative ideas.

I work with students remotely after 6pm on weekdays and in the mornings on weekends. I pride myself in my reliability and have yet to miss a scheduled tutoring session.

As a professional engineer, I use calculus principles on a daily basis. I understand the concepts on an intimate level and can explain beyond the math and into its real application. My teaching method uses a combination of the assigned practice problems and my own examples of applying the calculus to solve real engineering problems.

All the sciences are just physics if you zoom in close enough. I love physics. I have been a physics tutor since highschool (2008) being paid to teach my classmates at the time. I continued being a physics tutor in college specializing as the machine shop and robotics lab manager. While in that role, I tutored over 45 students individually in inventing and building their robots.

While at UCSD, I was disappointed that the course curriculum did not Computer Aided Design (CAD) to the level I believed the students needed. I founded a student organization with the intention of teaching my fellow students a much deeper level of SolidWorks, Inventor and CREO so we would be prepared when exiting college. My organization helped teach over 200 students and I became beyond an expert in the various CAD packages. I am also professionally certified in Inventor and SolidWorks.

I look for inventive minds who are fascinated with the "why" of everything. If your dream is to build your own invention and possibly become a successful entrepreneur, let's get started together!

I founded and taught the student led organization at UCSD for further learning in CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks and CREO. I am professionally certified in both Inventor and SolidWorks and have put together 25+ of my own CAD lesson plans and teaching material. My professional work requires me to build and manage a high level of CAD data including parts, assemblies, drawings, simulations and the correct linking between all these related files.
