Bio

Everybody has been helped when they are moving through their educational career. I have been fortunate to have talented, engaging teachers during the course of my academics and I want to be the same for someone else. While I haven't held any official tutoring positions, I am the one leading study sessions and helping my peers understand difficult subjects. There is always more than one way to explain a problem and I take pride in understanding what I am teaching so I can do just that....

Preparation is vital for most things in life. As a tutor, if it is a subject I haven't visited in a while, I would be happy to make sure I have a firm grasp beforehand so I don't waste your time or mine. Tutoring is a way for me to help enable people to grow and overcome challenges they thought to be impossible. I am here to tell you with enough time and the right ideas, you can reach just about anything you set your mind to. I want to be a part of that process and make sure you have the guidance you need along the way.

I am a math minor at the University of San Diego (USD) and have completed courses in Applied Math, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and Calculus.

As a brother of Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional co-ed business fraternity, I have been a learner and a mentor on business development. During the course of a regular semester, we would host workshops and engage with industry professionals on refining LinkedIn profiles, resumes, and networking skills among other things. Depending on the size of the incoming class, I would review up to 30 resumes a semester.

As a computer scientist, I am always learning. My courses have covered primarily Java and C, but I have other introductory experiences with a wide array of languages. Computer science is more about learning how to outline elegant code and architect working systems rather than knowing exactly what method to use when. I can be effective at teaching how to navigate online resources as well as built-in manuals to take advantage of everything languages can offer.

I have loved the game since the start of high school and maintain a handicap of about 10. I am not the worlds greatest golfer, but I know many of the tips and tricks to help get you to bogey golf if you are new to the game!
