It's time to start preparing for the Bar Exam! I am here to help you refine your studying skills and make the most of your studying sessions. I will personally assess your strengths and weaknesses, evaluate your prior results, and help you to tailor a course of study to your specific needs.

ESSAYS: I can help you with essay writing tips and techniques, including IRAC, issue spotting, and maximizing your essay score in a limited time period.

PERFORMANCE TEST: I can help in drafting memos, legal briefs, and letters to clients. The focus on this section is writing a large volume of logical arguments, not the memorization of substantive "black letter law."

MBE: The key to this section is time management and exposure to a lot of mock questions. We can review subjects that you don't feel comfortable with yet.

MY METHOD: If you want to focus on your writing, for the essays and for the performance test, then I normally email the student questions to work on, and the student emails them back to me. I review them and then we have our online lesson on the Wyzant platform. If you want to focus on MBE, then I normally email the student multiple choice questions and we review them, and this allows you to problem spot which topics you should focus on. The advantage of the Wyzant platform is that it enables us to talk "face to face" via video chat, while also allowing us to work on the same document using the text editor. At the end of the session you can download the text document as a pdf, which allows you to focus on the lesson and not worry about too much note taking. It also allows us to cover more information in a given time period, and this is a better use of your time and money in my opinion.

Solid, Practical tips for improving writing

I have had two tutoring sessions with David and he's been able to point out small, but extremely practical pointers that will achieve a significant point increase for the upcoming bar. The individualized attention has increased my confidence level significantly with working on performance exams. I'm looking forward with essay and MBE assistance and his tips for improving those scores. I looked at rates of other tutors, and his are extremely reasonable. I'm going to continue working with him for the February 2019 bar exam.
