As undergraduate I studied electrical engineering and worked as an undergraduate mentor and teaching assistant for circuit analysis and solid state physics courses. I have taken advanced math courses from Algebra & Calculus I, II, & II to Linear Algebra & Differential Equations.
As a person I try to seek out leadership roles in which I can make a difference in people’s lives & careers. In high school, I worked as a residential community leader and student body mentor. In university, I served as a Resident Assistant acting as an active mentor for many undergraduate students. As the 3rd oldest sibling to a big family (5 sisters & 3 brothers) helping with school work and other life decisions, I have seen how a bit of encouragement and guidance can help shape passions and growth.
Currently, I am a PhD student at UCSD’s Nano-Engineering department with research focusing on materials engineering for solar energy related topics. As a graduate student I am apart of the UCSD Mentor Assistance Program [MAPS], in which I help mentor young bright high school students into the world of engineering, science, and the field of renewable energy research.

I graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree with a 3.74 GPA and honors from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Beyond being a typical engineering student, I worked as an undergraduate Teaching Assistant for the following Electrical Engineering (EE) courses: Circuit Analysis and Semiconductor Devices & Materials. I use a lot of the techniques in typical EE courses throughout my PhD, and I aim to provide students the confidence to apply and master these concepts routinely.
