I currently hold a B.S. in Geological Sciences and my coursework has included Geology, Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Statistics. I have a wide range of expertise and interests and a passion for teaching, and I currently work as a Substitute Teacher for multiple districts in San Diego County. I have also studied and taught basic Arabic reading and writing, including grammar.

I strongly believe that focus, discipline and motivation are the primary ingredients of success in any field. These qualities must be self-discovered with confidence and determination. Thus, a good tutor is not just a qualified teacher, but also a passionate coach, a reliable guide, and a trustworthy friend. I will not only help with your homework, but together, we will discover a passion for the subject and learn from one another with proper etiquette and enthusiasm.

My tutoring approach is to focus the student's thinking to arrive at the desired result in a strategic method. A key focus in my lessons which is often absent is teaching the student the manners, etiquette, and the proper way to learn. This includes how and where to sit, organizations skills, and other factors which help train the brain and body to know when it is time to learn. I use varieties of techniques and exercises, tailored to help each student succeed with confidence. I can make my own worksheets based on material from the student or based on general needs. I prefer to ask questions that will guide the student towards the solution, rather than providing the answer directly. In this way, the student builds confidence in their critical thinking and problem solving skills.

My rates are subject to negotiation based on distance of travel, lesson frequency, and subject matter. I also offer discounted rates for multiple students. You can also tell me whether the student only needs homework help or if you would like me to provide supplementary material to help the student get ahead and stay ahead.

I greatly look forward to being a big part of your study success.
