I started teaching more then 20 years ago. I've been a class instructor and an tutor. I've been dealing with College Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Calculus of different levels, Differential Equations and Linear Algebra. And I know how to explain fractions so you will remember them forever.

I prefer tutoring to lecture since the

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Calculus is very different from all previous math and it hits students like a truck. It requires a different approach and a new set of study skills. As somebody who taught calculus for years I know what kind of troubles students encounter here and what to do not just to help them with a particular problem but to ensure their progress in the future.

I taught a discrete math course at university and I have studied different aspects of it as full courses: math logic, proves, set theory, algorithms, graph theory, combinatorics, and number theory.

I taught a finite math course at university and I have studied different aspects of it as full courses: math logic, financial math, matrix theory, graph theory, linear programming, combinatorics, probability and statistics.

I've not only taught linear algebra, but I've applied it in many other areas: statistics, numerical analysis, differential equations, data analysis.

I have been studying math logic at university and took 3 semester-long courses because I liked it. I taught a bit of logic in a discrete math course.

Calculus is very different from all math students have had before. It requires a new approach and new set of skills, which can be unexpected. I can quickly explain why and what is needed.

I have been working with statistics for more than 20 years and have been using R for 3 years. On a site for freelancers where thousands of coders are registered, I took their R test and was qualified as intermediate.
