Anderson College (now Anderson University), Anderson, IN (Music)
Hello! I am an enthusiastic lover of life and music. I have been teaching private lessons for 12 years now. I teach voice and piano. When it comes to voice, I will teach anyone who has reached puberty to 100+. For piano, I will teach anyone who is 5 years old to 100+. I just recently moved to San Diego from Indianapolis, Indiana. While in Indiana I performed with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Indianapolis Opera Chorus, The Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, The Indianapolis Men's Chorus, and as a soloist, section leader, worship leader, or praise band member for many churches. I have taught private lessons in school settings many years over, and I have worked as the Accompanist, Pit Director, and Assistant Director for several student productions of shows. I have also taught choir members or other lay musicians at several of the churches I've worked for. I love teaching lessons, and I love watching students grow in their musical skill sets and passion for music. I have also worked as a voice coach/accompanist for professional musicians. I absolutely love working with others to help them bring out their very best when it comes to music.
I learned to play piano by ear. So, I can work specifically with those who need help with, or want to expand, their ear training. I have a passion for helping others succeed, and I work hard to figure out each students learning style to help them develop skill sets. I am hardworking, organized, and dedicated. My students have gone on to receive college scholarships, as well as landing roles in whatever they were auditioning for, and getting accepted into collegiate music groups.
I would absolutely love the opportunity to work with you. Please contact me, and I will be happy to get to working with you right away! Hello! I am an enthusiastic lover of life and music. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
