I was born in Peru where in completed my Bachelor Degree in Motion Picture and Television with a Minor in Creative Writing. I attained a Master's Degree in the same major at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. During my graduate studies, I served as a Teacher's Assitant for Screenwriting, Cinema Art History, Film and Video Production and General Art History for four semesters.
I was able to individually teach four classes on each subject.
Upon my return to San Diego, I worked with Media Arts San Diego, teaching at-risk youth. Classes were taught on Writing and Video Production. Our projects caught the attention from KPBS and were later broadcast.
Credentials can be submitted upon request. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
I believe that the desire for learning and explore is pretty much alive in every single one of us, we just need to find that unique method that is fitted just for us. My tutoring method relies on "practice makes perfect". Almost every subject relates to our everyday life. Half the time is in-classroom teaching, half the time is exploration and application. I encourage my students to complement their studies during the week using their own particular method and pacing.
I have taught elementary-age students.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
