I attended grad school at UT-Austin and received my PhD in English Lit in 2014. I have ten years of teaching experience. I've taught at both a renowned, large, public university (UT-Austin) and an elite liberal arts college (Williams College). More recently, I've taught community college composition courses, high school AP courses, and middle school English & Writing courses.

If you have a son or daughter ready to prepare for college, I can help in a number of ways. Although I am an teacher of writing/reading/literature and an experienced math tutor as well, my specialty is test prep. Since 2010, I have worked for test prep companies, led the test prep service for an education firm, and have even written my own SAT/ACT prep curriculum. Regardless of the test, I can help with both test-taking strategy and content mastery.
Once we achieve that target score, I can help with college application season. I have worked in college admissions and have experience evaluating application essays and, more generally, assessing college-readiness of high school writing. Regardless of the stage of college prep that you are in, I can help!
Lastly, I really find one-on-one tutoring rewarding. I'm always happy to discuss how academic subjects help prepare us for life's challenges. When I'm not teaching or writing tutoring biographies, I'm probably reading, cooking, playing guitar, and figuring out how to travel on a budget.
