About Christian

Education has played a major role in my life, whether it has been as a student or as an educator. Throughout high school, I was a personal tutor for middle school students and younger classmen. During my undergraduate studies at UC Irvine, I continued tutoring under classmen as well as students from local high schools. After graduating, I became a teacher in Cambodia while serving in the Peace Corps. I taught a myriad of subjects ranging from English, history, math and economics. During my master program at USC, I led study session in statistics and economics.

I've also worked for different corporations as a researcher and supply chain manager. I've researched everything from purchasing trends of Apple products to land use in California to market trends in Saudi Arabia. Although I enjoy tutoring all levels, I am looking to older high school students, college students and companies with excel and research work. To connect with students on a personal level, I have a variety of interests which I use. On my free time I enjoy traveling, creating and trying new recipes, participating in political and economic discourse, discussing and participating in fantasy leagues and boxing at local gyms.

As a business owner, I use algebra, geometry and basic math on a daily basis. As a current ACT/SAT tutor, I've helped students simplify the test to make it easier for them to succeed and become less intimidated.

I was a teacher in the Peace Corps for two years. During my service, not only did I learn what helped my students learn English more quickly and more easily, but I also learned what helped me learn a different language as well.

I have three years as a researcher, utilizing excel on a daily basis. I've researched market trends in Saudi Arabia, Apple purchases in the United States, and land use in California. Not only have I used these skills to do my own work, but have taught my managers how to use them for future references.

My master is in international public policy, which was heavily focused on economics. I worked in supply chain for three years, and economic trends were always considered.

I have years of experience teaching and tutoring. I'm incredibly patient and more importantly, I know how simplify things as much as possible and to explain things in a way that makes the subject less intimidating and practical! Furthermore, depending on your needs, I am flexible with budget.
