I have over two years of experience teaching for the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University, the American Graphics Institute, and private one-on-one lessons. Not only will you learn the craft of filmmaking and videography, but I will also teach you the basics of film theory - the art of visually telling a story through lighting, lensing, framing, and editing.
Film and video are mediums that communicate emotions and the process of making them is an exciting journey as well. I'm satisfied when my students create a final product. I simply love cinema, filmmaking, and videography. Whether I'm reading articles on lighting set-ups, outside shooting scenes for a video, testing a new camera, or just watching a movie, I have made the craft of the moving image part of my daily routine for over two decades. You'll learn lighting, composition, lensing, audio recording, editing, and audio mixing. These are the instrument I have in my toolbox and I look forward to sharing them with you.
All you have to do is reach out to me and we'll work out the details together. I'm a freelance cinematographer and editor so my schedule is very flexible.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a decade of digital cinema experience. Most recently I learned how to shoot on the RED Epic-X and the Sony FS7. I am a regular user of Adobe Premiere CC 2015 and completed a course on FCP X.
