About Kristina

Hi, my name is Kristina. I have been tutoring for 10 years now with tutoring companies, as well as individual clients. I am proficient in all subjects as well intermediate Spanish. I love working with kids and making learning fun and interesting. I try my best to teach in more than one way so that my students can learn the way that suits them. I have worked with children with disabilities, and am willing to work in any environment the student feels most comfortable, and can be most productive. I am a strong believer that school work should be fun, so I make up games and activities to teach. I love being active and energetic when I teach.

I started tutoring when I was in high school at a tutoring company called Math Magicians. I tutored all ages in every subject. I graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a BA in Psychology, but took all of my science and math classes as well. I was a substitute teacher for a year where I passed the CBEST, basic skills test; in reading, writing and math. I have my CPR and CPI training and have worked with children with autism.

If you have any questions about me or the way that I teach, please do not be afraid to reach out and email me. I am always available for questions and will respond within the hour, most times. Thank you for reviewing my profile. I am looking forward to meeting you.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
