My daughter needed help with her American Literature paper. Joseph did a great job helping her organize & write it. He helped her think through & understand the material & come up with creative ways to express her ideas.

It's exciting to regain a working understanding of the game of chess, since I haven't played in over 40 years!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I was on my first little league team in fifth (?) grade and have been an avid player of baseball and softball unto this day. I play second base and pitcher best. My kids all have gloves, bats and lots of balls and we play regularly. They look forward to the church picnic where they can play with the adults.
I have been a church attending Christian since 1985 and avid student of the Bible from that time. Before the advent of computers, I used to write out every verse on a subject from my Strong's concordance. I wrote every verse on angels twice. I authored one bible based book and am working on a second.
I was a natural for biology in high school doing well on the tests with out studying. In college I aced my biology and earth science classes. Most of my (large) college biology class studied from my previous tests for the final exam.
I just took the CBEST a month ago and passed by a wide margin. I also took the sample test online before the test and passed with a 91 percent accumulative score. I was just awarded a 30 day permit and am collecting letters from my university staff to apply for substitute teaching positions.
I have been playing chess since at least fourth grade and have the same chess pieces that I received as a gift at that time. At one time I had a friend visiting me in college so I could teach him how to play. I did homework while we played for months. One day he beat me and he never returned to play another game.
I am a published author of two books and many articles. I dominated many of my literature classes in college, and graduated on the president's list. I love essays and creative writing and making peoples' literary messes into masterpieces.
I have a degree in literature. I have an extensive history of handwriting from k-college and continue to handwrite many things today. I can write legible block and cursive letters including capital letters. I help my kids, ages 6-11, learn block and cursive writing also for their school subjects.
I have a degree in Literature from Point Loma Nazarene University, Magna Cum Laude. I was the top student in many of my Lit classes and received scholarship money from the Literature Department for my work. I have authored one book and co-authored a second and am working on more. I love the study of great literary works and want to broaden my experience through tutoring others.
I qualify to tutor public speaking because I have educational and career experience in this field. I passed my college public speaking requirements and have career experience preparing and giving speeches to crowds in excess of one hundred people. I also have acting experience before live audiences and for video making. I helped write, host, and produce a video which can be viewed online.
With a BA in Literature I have read, studied, and written essays about a multitude of books from the bible all the way to contemporary writers. I recently passed my CBEST test well over the passing score in all areas. I am currently tutoring both native and ESL students to improve their reading, writing and comprehension skills as well as conversational English. I am also looking to begin an MA program in teaching.
I became a Christian in 1985 and have studied the bible, Christianity and other religions fervently since that time. I graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University, a Christian University, with a degree in literature. Much of the literature, drama and philosophy studied there had religious themes. I am a published author of a bible based book and am currently writing other religious themed projects.
I have been playing baseball and softball since early grade school. The beauty of softball is that it is "softer" and therefore easier to play for a broader group of people. Besides the differences in balls, the biggest split in the parallel sports is the pitching style. Softball uses underhand pitching for both fast and slow pitch renditions of the game as opposed to baseball which pitches overhand.
I love speaking and teaching Spanish and work on my reading, speaking and vocabulary regularly through conversation and email correspondence. I have travelled extensively in Mexico surfing and have been to Costa Rica three times. I also have a minor degree in Spanish from Point Loma Nazarene University. I am not a native speaker but do well with conversational Spanish.
I have developed systematic study habits that earned me top student honors in university level classes. These skills and methods have been proven and perfected through tutoring many students. I help them focus on the most relevant points and build from there to elevate their learning process and understand their subject. I show them how to glean the most important facts and apply them in a logical manner.
World history is a huge subject and therefore I still consider myself as much of a learner as a teacher. The most important approach to this subject is developing strong study habits that cultivate interest and build from there.
I am a published author with book, magazine, newspaper, internet, ghostwriting and screen writing credits. I have a degree in literature and my love is creative writing. My goal with any project is not only to make it grammatically correct and easily read but to make it "sing."
