About Harry

I have a master's degree in general linguistics and a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language. In addition, I have completed Laubach ESL Tutor Training. My undergraduate degree was in Spanish. I have studied several languages, including Russian, German, French, and Portuguese, plus a little Chinese.

I prefer to tutor adults, but am open to tutoring children who want to learn English. I can work with you on improving your speaking, listening, reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary as well as improving your ability to use English correctly in different social situations.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
