ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE. ESL/TEFL.
It is stressful and difficult to move to another country, I know because I’ve done it twice! It’s all the more difficult when you also have to learn a new language. I can help you learn or improve your English, with lots of conversation practice for business, education, shopping and making friends.
Your lessons with me will be tailored to your specific level and needs, and we will decide together which areas you need to focus on. Perhaps you want to study grammar and tenses, or focus more on conversation and practice speaking in real life situations.
I will prepare your lessons to suit your situation and requirements, and we will discuss the best way to proceed based on your needs and learning style. I’m looking forward to teaching you English and watching you improve and gain confidence!
I’m from England, and moved to the USA in 1992 and have have even coached American actors when they have needed an English accent for their character!
When I lived in the UK I taught English to foreign students – children and adults, with the Oxford Intensive School of English, and the Biswell-Schiller English School, plus my own private students. I can help you with grammar, conversation, reading, pronunciation, idioms, letter writing or edit your reports…. Everything from beginner level to the highest professional level.

FRENCH TUITION FOR HIGH SCHOOL BEGINNERS.
Have you just started learning French? Are you mystified by your French text book, and totally confused by the perfect and imperfect tenses?
Don’t worry! I excel at teaching beginners, so you will soon master those tenses, be able to practice conversation in a comfortable setting, improve your accent, and learn new vocabulary.
Together we will work from your school text book to make sure that you understand each new language structure, with the review and practice you don’t have time for in your school classes. None of your questions are ‘stupid’, and they will all be answered considerately and expertly. I’m looking forward to helping you succeed!
I have a B.Ed. Hons specializing in teaching French. I used to work in France as an interpreter, and have taught French privately to ages 5 through adult, and in schools in the UK.
If you are a high school student, an adult wishing to learn a little for your Paris vacation, or want to give your middle school child a head start, I would be able to help. ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE. ESL/TEFL.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
