I am a licensed psychologist and taught undergraduate behavioral statistics throughout graduate school, as well as other psychology courses. I have also taught at other institutions since earning my PhD and have experience tutoring several math and psychology courses. I absolutely love teaching/tutoring and mentoring are passions of mine. I just moved to San Diego and will be here for 6 months. Can't wait to explore this city and the surrounding areas!

Michelle is a great tutor! I was struggling with an SPSS project for a bachelor's level statistics class and she totally saved me. She responded to my inquiry within hours and we were able to schedule a session for the following day. She patiently helped me work to through each step of the assignment and I left the session with a much better understanding of the course material. I would highly recommend her.
I would recommend Michelle without hesitation. When I contacted Michelle my back was against the wall and I had two assignments due that week that required using SPSS and interpreting the data. She quickly responded and we were able to schedule our first session within 24 hours. I was enrolled in an online Quantitative Reasoning and Analysis course for my PhD program. With Michelle as my tutor I went from feeling intimidated and absolutely clueless about the SPSS program and how to interpret the data, to feeling very comfortable and understanding not just how to input the data, but how to interpret the data for my lessons. Michelle quickly picked up on the fact that I was allowing myself to be intimidated by this class and she asked me questions that helped me to understand how all the pieces fit together. I am looking forward to working with Michelle again in the near future.
Dr. G is absolutely, hands-down the most perfect tutor that exceeded my expectations and met my needs. She is diligent, patient, well spoken and she knew how to answer every question I had with clarity. She broke down every portion of the problem and explained it in ways that was understandable. I have dreaded statistics and I was far behind the learning curve but after just one session with Dr. G, I am understanding several chapters and my homework assignment is a breeze. I am more confident in my abilities because she gave me all of the tools I needed to think like a math student! Thank you Dr. G for being available to those who need help with statistics and SPSS!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
