My name is Alina. I attend San Diego State University, where I am an Interdisciplinary Studies in Three Departments major, which include extensive coursework in Anthropology, Biology, and Statistics. I have worked as a tutor at Grossmont College for the subject of anthropology. I greatly enjoyed the job. I especially loved the "aha" expression that the student would have when they finally understood something that has been troubling them for so long.
I believe I would be a great tutor because I sincerely want to help people learn. Because I plan to become an anthropology professor in the future, it is imperative to me that knowledge is not only gained but also shared. No matter how much time it takes, I believe it is important to be patient as everyone has their own learning pace.
My qualifications are not only that I worked as a tutor for a year at Grossmont College, but also that I have a 3.98 GPA for all my coursework, which includes precalculus, chemistry, anthropology, biochemistry, philosophy, English, and more.
I hope you will consider me for the job. I will ensure that you or your child will receive the best care and teaching service I can give.
Thank you. Hello everyone!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I took Human Anatomy at San Diego State University. After taking the course, I served as an undergraduate teacher's aide in Human Anatomy labs, where I taught students important structural and functional terms and processes, using models as well as real cadavers and skeletal remains. Since then, I continue to utilize my knowledge of anatomy in my research and for other courses.
My major is Interdisciplinary Studies in Three Departments, which include Anthropology, Biology, and Statistics. As part of my major, I have taken courses in genetics, evolution, all levels of undergraduate biochemistry and cellular and molecular biology, anatomy, physiology, and more. I have taken all the necessary lab coursework and I am currently honing my lab skills in a research laboratory at San Diego State University as an undergraduate research volunteer.
