Approved subjects
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Drums
I have been studying drums for 14 years under the guidance of qualified teachers. I played in all the Jr. High and High school bands while being the first Jr.High drummer to play with the senior class.
In high school I was the jazz drummer for the small ensembles and the Big Band in which we competed in national competitions. During this time I also was professionally gigging (age 16-18) every weekend and recorded two albums.
In 2007 I was accepted into the Berklee college of Music and in 2008 I began attendance. While attending I studied with Mike Mangini (Dream Theater, Poison, Etc..), Ralph Peterson (The Ralph Peterson Band), and others. I played in several bands in Berklee and graduated with Honors.
