Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel

In my experience as a Project Engineer part of my routine is to prepare reports related to the monitoring of project construction status. With these reports I prepare Microsoft Excel worksheets which capture the details of costs and schedules represented in tables and graphs. I submit these reports on a monthly basis and are used by Project Managers as guides in making critical decisions related to the safe, cost effective and timely project completion.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

1. Connection/Introduction to Algebra 2. Properties of Real Numbers 3. Solving Linear Equations 4. Graphing Linear Equations and Functions 5. Writing Linear Equations 6. Solving and Graphing Linear Inequalities 7. Systems of Linear Equations and Inequalities 8. Exponents and Exponential Functions 9. Quadratic Equations and Functions 10. Polynomials and Factoring 11. Rational Equations and Functions 12. Radicals and Connections to Geometry
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 is one of my favorite subjects to teach because of the fun my students get from it as they learn to solve more tricky problems and understand better the world around them. It is an extension of Algebra 1 and a step closer to calculus, a more advanced subject in mathematics. Algebra 2 will help my students learn how to solve and graph problems involving polynomials, inequalities, exponents and logarithms, how to deal with complex numbers and many more. I can help my students learn the subject by the old fashioned way or through the aid of the computer or a combination of both to suit their needs.
Geometry,

Geometry

1. Perimeter 2. Area 3. Volume 4. Surface Area 5. Similar Figures: Side Lengths and Angle Measures 6. Similar Triangles 7. Area and Perimeter of Similar Figures 8. Similar Solids 9. Volume and Area of Similar Solids 10. Pythagorean Theorem 11. Pythagorean Theorem: Worded Problems 12. Special Right Triangles
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I love to teach Prealgebra because it is the basic foundation to the interesting application of mathematics in everyday life. I have successfully tutored several students in Geometry. Geometry requires thorough knowledge in basic math subjects such as Prealgebra, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, which I can also teach. Prealgebra is a requisite to my degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Trigonometry

Trigonometry

One of the reasons I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree is because I was well-versed in the study of triangles. I became very interested in the relationship of the sides that make up a triangle and the angles between those sides where a lot of interesting problems can be developed. Providing a step-by-step solution to these problems makes it a challenging task for a math teacher and that is where I enjoy imparting my knowledge and experience to my students this fascinating subject and its applications to real life situations.
