About Lily

Hello future students,

My name is Lily and I'm a Music and Psychology Major at Grossmont College. I plan to transfer to SDSU in the Spring of 2013 and study Music and Psychology. I have a 3 year old son and my husband is also a musician. I play various instruments as well as teach them including voice. I used to be a music teacher at Lemon Grove Middle School and Oak Park Music Conservatory. I also tutored children in the 6 to 6 program at LGMS in math, English, Science,Photography and Art. I love animals and teaching and am always encouraging to my students. I like to give out rewards for those who show constant improvement and try different teaching strategies to ensure my students are learning and retaining the information. I hope you will chose me as your tutor or music teacher.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
