I was born in Mexico City and when I was 17 years old I received a scholarship to study a psychology course in Poland. I have a bachelor's degree in Tourism and Marketing, but teaching Spanish as a foreign language has been my passion. It is the reason that I traveled to Barcelona to obtain a teaching certificate. I also have a background training and motivating people. Part of my informal background also includes teaching Spanish in Poland and Polish in San Diego.

Very prompt, very patient! I was very impressed with how well she worked with my teen age sons! Rosa Lilia has a wonderful way of getting her students involved and engaged! I am very very happy with her and my boys are as well. 5 out of 5 stars absolutely!
Rosa Lilia has been an enormous help to my daughter in her high school Spanish class. She is an excellent teacher, and a warm and generous human being. Her flexibility has also made our lives as parents easier. We are lucky to have found her.
Learning a lot of practical Spanish. My 10 year old and I are really enjoying our lessons too! We practice together in between sessions and it's been a real bonding experience for us to prepare for our trip to Costa Rica!
Rosa Lilia kept my 6 and 8 year olds very engaged while helping them to learn basic conversational Spanish before our trip. She always had something in her bag to make learning fun and engaging. My kids looked forward to tutoring like it was the special event of the day. Muy bien!
Rosa Lilia is an amazing teacher! She is very patient and never critical. Instead, she is supportive and encouraging and makes learning fun and interesting. She has a passion for Spanish and for teaching and it shows. I am an attorney and she has tailored the lessons to assist me in my profession. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone considering learning or improving their language skills.
My daughter really likes Rosa Lilia, she definitely engaged nice lessons with fun drawing to learn each new vocabulary. She makes the class very fun and pleasant to listen. My daughter really had improved since few weeks already. I am very happy with her new tutor.
We needed someone to help us the week before finals with our son's HS Spanish class. Rosa made time to see him every day that week and for extended hours on the last day to make sure he was ready. She had a good understanding of what he was having problems with and what would be expected from him on the upcoming test. I highly recommend Rosa!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I studied Polish for one year (6 hours daily) in order to enter a psychology program at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (west side of Poland). I lived in Poland two years and I accomplished a great level in polish language. As a polish teacher I have one year experience in San Diego.
