I've been employed in the educational field since 2011, as a teacher's aide at a state school for students diagnosed with severe disabilities. Currently, I'm also self-employed conducting individual and group art sessions for both children and adults with a wide range of abilities, and also as an independent contractor/ESL instructor and tutor. Prior to these positions, I was employed as a residential direct care staff for Touchpoint Autism Services, and also as a C.N.A. at a skilled nursing facility. I have an AA in studio art, a B.S. in psychology(double minor in fine art and sociology), and am currently pursuing my M.A. in art therapy. In addition, I will beginning a second M.A. next semester(spring 2016) in technical communications.

I love helping students, and pride myself on helping them to achieve their educational goals. I've worked with a wide variety of students, both children and adults, with a range of abilities and challenges, and am skilled at tailoring the material to specific learning and educational needs and styles.

I specialize in tutoring English and working with individuals with special needs. In addition, I'm well-versed in psychology/behavioral sciences, social sciences, biological and environmental sciences, reading, ESL and art/art history.

I'm open to tutoring in whatever location best suits your/your child's needs or preferences, whether it's in your home, or somewhere such as a library or other center.

I try to be flexible with time. While I do have a 12-hour cancellation policy, I do my best to offer makeup classes.

I look forward to speaking with you and helping you achieve success in your studies!

I have always loved English and literature, and actually tested out of having to take both composition I and II at the college level. I am well-versed in all areas relating to the English language, including reading, literature studies, and both technical and creative writing.

I have both personal and professional experience with special needs, and have worked with individuals with special needs since 2010. I began working with individuals with special needs as a residential direct care staff with Touchpoint Autism Services, where I worked with both teens and adults on the spectrum. Following my employment with Touchpoint, In 2011, I became employed at a state school for students with severe disabilities, ranging in age from 5-21.
