I earned my B.S. in physics and religious studies from UNC-Chapel Hill, and I have two master's degrees from UK universities - one in theology (from a global top 20 department), and another in sociology (global T5). I currently work in academic research at a global T5 university.

I’ve provided admissions advising since 2020, working with students to develop application plans and strategies, draft and edit their college essays and personal statements for graduate school, and prepare for interviews. I have additional specialized expertise in elite university and scholarships/fellowships admissions (e.g., Rhodes, Marshall, or Fulbright).

I’ve assisted students with applications for a diverse range of schools and fields of study, and I would love to help you with your next application! I prioritize supporting students in finding their best-fit path forward while maintaining integrity and authenticity in the admissions process.

As an experienced writer and editor, I also provide writing tutoring and proofreading for academic assignments. In addition to my experience with personal essays in the admissions context, I’ve written an undergraduate thesis and two master's dissertations, all of which were awarded highest honors.

I'm available both for one-off sessions and for longer-term tutoring, and I provide both asynchronous and synchronous essay reviewing. Contact me to learn more and to schedule a session!

I've also provided competitive scholarships admissions advising since the summer of 2020. I can assist with aspects of career development that fall under an academic umbrella - whether it's returning to school after full-time work, continuing your education in pursuit of additional qualifications and skills, or applying for academic research positions as a bachelor's or master's student/graduate. I have particular expertise in essays and personal statements for applications.

I attended UNC-Chapel Hill on a full-tuition merit scholarship as an undergraduate, and I then won a nationally competitive scholarship that fully funded my graduate degrees in the UK. I've personally been through and succeeded in highly competitive admissions processes at the undergraduate and graduate level, through which I’ve learned how to craft successful applications that advance compelling, cohesive narratives. I've provided mentorship and advising for competitive scholarship admissions since the summer of 2020, assisting students with program selection, essay drafting and revisions, and interview prep. In addition to general college application and scholarship application assistance, I can offer specialized knowledge related to the application processes for regionally, nationally, and internationally competitive scholarships/fellowships. I have particular expertise in application essays - both from my own application processes and from my experiences assisting others.
