Hello! Bonjour! My name is Natalie, and I would love to tutor you in English language skills, writing, reading, and French language skills. I am a recent graduate of the University of California, Davis where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in linguistics with minors in French and education. I am an aspiring teacher, and I have plans to go to graduate school to pursue this goal.

My affinity for teaching came from the numerous tutoring positions I have filled (both paid and volunteer) throughout my academic career. I have tutored students from ages five to 50 years old in a wide variety of subjects. However, most of my experience has been with tutoring English and French to middle school, high school, and college students. I love tutoring because it provides a different type of opportunity for students to expand their knowledge than the traditional classroom setting. My approach to tutoring is unique for each of my students because I take into consideration each student's learning style and adapt my teaching/lessons accordingly. I am, by nature, a very creative person and I love that I can use my sense of creativity to help students succeed.

I have been learning French since I was a toddler because I come from a native French-speaking family. But, I have been studying French academically for over 12 years culminating in a minor in French from a well-renowned university (the University of California, Davis). I have tutored students of all ages and all levels in French for several years, and I have been a Teacher's Assistant for a high school level French class.

I have a great passion for the various components of language. So I went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Davis in linguistics. While working toward this degree, I studied concepts such as grammar, syntax, phonetics, orthography, etc. in depth. In grade school, I was enrolled in many accelerated and Advanced Placement English classes receiving top grades. I have tutored students in middle school, high school,

Knowledgeable and Patient

I loved my lesson today with Natalie. It was informative and fun (an environment which I learn best in). She took her time talking to me about what I wanted to get out of learning French, recommended a lesson plan, and very open in implementing my own learning tools as well. I can't wait for my next lesson! :)
