About Eiman

My willingness to become a tutor is a direct result of my passion for learning and accumulating knowledge. As the Salutatorian of my high school graduating class, I know that hard work and perseverance pay off. I am no stranger to helping peers with their schoolwork, as peers often asked me for assistance. I have some experience tutoring middle school students, though not much. I believe the best tutors or teachers are the ones that learn with the students. Though my job is to teach the students, the students will allow me to test my knowledge on the subjects.
Though I am an inexperienced tutor, I know that I am ready to share my knowledge with students and gain knowledge from students.
I want to help students study to success. I want to help students reach their full potential and the one way I can do that is by challenging them in an environment suited to nurture learning. It is an environment that I am extremely comfortable in, having taken 8 Advanced Placement courses and 2 Honors courses.

From the time I was in elementary school, math became a passion of mine. As a fifth grader, my teacher recommended that I take math with seventh graders. I have received A grades in all math classes I have taken through middle school and high school, including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Calculus, and AP Calculus. As a freshman in college, I am currently enrolled in Calculus 1.

In addition to my passion for math, I excel in reading and vocabulary. As a junior in high school, I took AP Language and Composition, successfully passing the Advanced Placement Test. As a senior in high school, I completed the AP Literature and Composition and passed the Advanced Placement Test. After completing these two courses, I was exposed to a various amount of literary terms and feel that I am immensely capable of helping students improve their vocabulary and reading skills.

Having attended Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep, I was fortunate to have teachers who truly helped me understand America's history and America's Government. In the eleventh grade I received an A grade both terms in AP United States History and passed the the AP test for the class. In the twelfth grade I received an A grade both terms in AP United States Government and Politics and passed the AP test for the class with the highest possible score. In addition, I was honored with a Teachers' Choice Award presented by Operation Protect. The award was for an essay I wrote about the dynamics of juries in America. My experiences in American History and American Government & Politics at a law-based high school have prepared me enough to share my knowledge with students.

I please ask for honest feedback. I will hold tutoring sessions in locations that are most convenient for the students. If a student cannot make it to the original lesson, I am open to holding a makeup session.
Most importantly, I want to help students study to success and I look forward to hearing from all students.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
