Hello! I recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS in Environmental Economics and Policy and am currently living in Sacramento. I am interning for the US Department of Commerce and Center for International Trade Development as well as working part time at Squeeze Inn. On my spare time I enjoy watching movies, traveling, reading, playing basketball, and spending time with my family and friends.
I tutored throughout high school and would like the opportunity to help your child with their classes as a tutor and mentor. I have tutored a middle school student with ADHD and have the patience and persistence it requires in being able to effectively teach. Throughout high school, I tutored in Spanish, English, and Algebra.

I may show the student how to solve an equation and then have them follow the same procedures, or I may create a game for the student to play so that they find it entertaining to learn. Whatever the method may be for the student, I would ensure that they have a good time learning. By being engaged and by showing them different perspectives so that at least one will be easy for them, I know that the student will look forward to learning and I will look forward to teaching. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
