Hello! My name is Han and I'm currently a student at Sac State. My major is Mechanical Engineering and minor is Mathematics. I have been on the the Dean's Honor Roll for six consecutive semesters and recently became a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. I was also involved with my school's Hornet Racing Team and worked a bit on the car's cooling system. So I know a little bit about cars.

As for my high school education, I graduated from Oakmont High School in Roseville a few years ago with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with Summa Cum Laude honors.

For fun, I love playing badminton, chinlone (a traditional Burmese sport), running, biking, and hiking. I also enjoy making and launching model rockets as a hobby.

As for tutoring, I've tutored elementary and high school kids with subjects like math and science. I have helped a few college students as well with subjects in mechanical engineering.

Seeing struggling students who finally understand what they don't understand always bring a smile to my face! It's good to know that I was able to help students overcome their challenges and help them broaden their knowledge and minds so that they achieve their goals and dreams!
As a tutor, I will try everything within my abilities to help students understand and learn from their problems so that they can feel confident in their schoolwork and abilities.

I have tutored 4th and 5th grade children in math for a year. As a mechanical engineering major, I've taken numerous math classes. I am also working on my math minor.

With my experiences from all my math classes, I have experienced many good and bad teachers and have taken note of what strategies would be the most helpful in helping struggling students in math.

I know...math can be scary or boring, but trust me, it's one of the best subjects you can ever learn!

I always had a strong desire for science since childhood. It fascinates me how everything in the world interacts and work with each other! And science is what describes and explains how all of the things in the world work. This is why I chose to go into engineering.

I have taken numerous engineering classes and have learned a great deal about engineering. With that, I am capable with helping college students in their engineering and science classes.
Even though I had a strong passion for science, I wasn't always the best at it. I experienced this when I first took physics in high school. I understand how hard physics was the first time around and I had to work really hard to understand the material. From my experiences, I know the problems students may face when taking science courses and will try my best to help students overcome their fears and be more appreciative of the sciences.

Kids have some of the most creative and energetic minds. Combining that creativity with science creates endless possibilities for new ideas. With my experience working with elementary school kids, I understand that science concepts can be a very daunting and new thing to learn. But with a little help, kids will be able to get a grasp of these concepts and appreciate the amazing world of science. I will try my best to use props or examples to show how these scientific concepts work.

I understand that learning takes a lot of work and a lot of patience. But with a little persistence, you can learn a lot and appreciate so many things in the world! Feel free to contact me and schedule a lesson today!

Mechanical Engineering

I have completed three years of the mechanical engineering program at California State University, Sacramento. I have one semester left of my major classes and have taken all of the basic engineering courses that students mostly struggle in. I have done well in my engineering courses and have work on extracurricular activities that relate to my major such as Hornet Racing.
