Hello,

My name is Asia and I have a M.S in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University. I have always had a passion for teaching and tutoring, from helping my little brother pass 2nd grade math to teaching piano to students of varying ages. I have taught and tutored various subjects [6 years teaching Piano, 3 years of tutoring Japanese, 4 years of Tutoring math (Pre-algebra, Algebra, SAT Math Prep), 2 years of tutoring high school AP Economics, 2 years of being a running coach, 6 years of elementary tutoring (math, science, reading, study skills)]. I offer tutoring in my favorite subjects so that students and parents are provided with a positive learning experience. One example being I took six years of math in my four years of high school because I enjoyed the subject that much.

I enjoy working with all ages to accomplish academic goals as well as personal development goals. I work with my students to identify their learning style and customize a tutoring program for each individual aimed to making the subject matter interesting and approachable. Learning is made to be fun and a fundamental part of each students perspective.

Let's work together to build a strong academic foundation for your success.

The student and I then work as a team, involving the parents in the process, to practice the study skills that work the individuals learning style. The process is about making learning and studying fun and rewarding so that it is not a chore.
