California State University of Fresno (Engineering)
I am a graduate of California State University with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. I enjoy the idea of teaching students and others who want to learn about new things and how they can use the newly gained knowledge to further their education. I have a great and well rated background in tutoring high school and college level students. Their feedback from the improvements in their tests grades and global understanding of math and engineering has kept me highly motivated to continue tutoring students who want to learn.
I understand and know how hard it is as a students at any given grade level to learn and be able to do math. Math can be very challenging and frustrating but it can also be fun and exciting. This is where my engineering background comes into play because as engineers we learn and are disciplined to think outside the box and be able to convey in many ways the picture or idea that we have in our heads. I do my best to utilize all resources and won't move a single step ahead until the student fully understands the material I currently explained. I always treat my students with respect and look upon them as if I was in their shoes and trying my best to learn a new subject. I am very passionate in what I do and take great pride as a tutor. When I see my students succeeding I know that I have not failed in what I love doing.
I have always loved math and still do. I use math on a daily bases whether it's at my work place or at home with my kids. I have taken a great amount of math courses in my life time and have minored in mathematics at my State University.
I know how important it is to have a great foundation before excelling into the much harder topic and as easy as it may seem to teach young ones it can also be very challenging. Therefore I feel I have the patience and experience to work with young students to help them understand and be able to do math.
As a tutor I have my own policy which is your success is my success. When you progress in your grades and become excited in doing math homework I feel very proud and know that I have not failed as a tutor. You have no obligations in wanting me as your tutor. There are many tutors and you have the option to go with anyone you want. But when you give me that one chance to see if I can help you get to where you want to be, then you will feel and know that you have made the right choice. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a university graduate. I have tutored to college students, university students, high school students, and currently teaching my young daughter to do math.
I have a math minor from California State University of Fresno. I have taken a lot of math courses involving multiple levels of Algebra. I have mastered both pre Algebra, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2. I have successful tutored Algebra 1 and 2 to college students and high school students. I love the subject and enjoy tutoring to students. Math is my thing.
Elementary Math is a fundamental course that needs to be taken very seriously and correctly. I believe that I have what it needs as a tutor to work with young students and help them understand how to do Math. I have a Math minor and BS degree in Engineering from CSU-Fresno. I have a full background in mathematics and I enjoy working with young students in the field of math. My engineering background and love for Math helps me to explain elementary Math in multiple ways for the student to understand it well.
Being an Electrical Engineering graduate, I have taken multiple courses that involved learning logic theory, applying logic theory, and doing math using logic. I have done great in all my logic courses and feel that I will be able to tutor the subject and help students understand how logic works.
I am an Electrical Engineering graduate from state college with a minor in Mathematics. I enjoy doing Math and understand the fundamentals of Math, but even more I love it when I can teach someone else to do Math on their own. I have mastered the fields of pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Algebra II. I have tutored pre-Algebra at high schools, city colleges, and state universities over 3 years. Have had great feedbacks from students and their grade improvements were a fact of me doing a great job as a tutor. I feel that I am qualified to teach this subject and help students succeed.
