Dear Prospective Students,

I have been tutoring in the subject aforementioned since 1995. I also will say that I tutor Spanish up to Levels III and IV and have a B.A. Degree in Spanish from SSU I achieved in May, 1997. I really enjoy working with students (kids and adults) one-on-one, and teaching them the skills they need to be more effective in their studies. I plan to study higher levels of Math at this time and also SAT Books to be able to tutor these as well. Please feel free to e-mail...

This was one of my favorite subjects in High school and college years. I have a BA Degree in Spanish Literature and Culture from Sonoma State University (graduated in May, 1997) and have a love of speaking the language and learning Hispanic Customs and Sayings. I have taught levels one through three at the high school level and excel in grammar, sentence structure, and speaking Spanish in a conversational setting.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

This is probably my second or third favorite subject from school years. I have tutored Algebra I for quite some time and have a love of presenting the problems and working with students to get them understanding and having knowledge of working through problems. Some of my best areas here are: word problems, monomials/binomials and polynomials and simplifying these, solving quadratic equations, and graphing figures. I have been working with a couple of students in my other job, online tutoring, for at least two years. I've seen them progress in the subject and am confident teaching it. Would love to have more students from here!

Fun and clear

Louis is a great teacher. He is easy to understand and my kid enjoyed working with him. He worked with her on Math for 45 min and then on Spanish. The math had 4th grade level work and beggining Algebra. He was very helpful and clear.

Tutor responded:

Thanks so much, Gili for your positive feedback. I really appreciate that and let's keep on doing engaging and fun lessons for your daughter.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Louis is a thoughtful tutor, who helps draw ideas out of the student to guide them in forming their own notions in order to write a creative essay. He works with patience and focus to maximize the progress needed in the time he is with the student. My son has already in one session begun to develop the outline and introductory paragraph for an essay he has to write. Before working with Louis he was stuck, not knowing how to approach it at all. Louis definitely will benefit anyone who needs the guidance.

My Son loves him!

My son has had a string of tutors and hasn't been able to feel confident about any of them. I have spent so much time and money trying to find a fit for him From School tutors and teachers to Sylvan Learning Center. Louis has been so great from him. Never before has my son looked forward to learning.

Patient and knowledgeable tutor

Louis work with me in my algebra problems, including solving linear equations using two step variable and words problems. I've been struggling with math and Louis made it very clear for me to follow the step by step instructions. A great first time meeting. Looking forward for a great semester of excellent tutoring. Thank you Louis.
