Hello, I'm Lorenzo! I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. I've moved on to become a certified tutor working at the learning resource center at Norco College and a district substitute teacher with RUSD. I understand that both math and physics can be quite challenging and sometimes frustrating; trust me, I've been there. In my experience tutoring, I find that breaking down problems and working along at the pace set by the student is the most efficient approach, especial in physics, where problems can get quite complex. At my time at the learning resource center at Norco College, I had access to smart-boards and traditional whiteboards, enabling students and I to express visual information regarding problems and concepts with ease. Take into consideration that my tutoring experience was in an express format: any student could approach me with any problem they had, sometimes even in groups. They came from all different types of skill level, and it was my personal obligation to assist them until they felt confident with the material. This is the same mindset I'll bring to tutoring on Wyzant's platform.

Having studied physics in college, proficiency in math was a given. While maybe not as robust as a dedicated math major, I had to apply a lot of mathematics principles in my studies.
