this recruitment is my exegetical "empowerment, education, ereignis ("...the opening of the Open.") praxis. I conceived and developed a("enowning"), blended dropout retrieval curriculum experience for Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington.
I developed and installed an adolescent day treatment program for CMHC-Tacoma; and by utilizing Dialectical Therapy techniques instituted a Saturday School program as and option to suspensions at the aforementioned Lincoln
High School. I directed the reorganization of the curriculum at Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri after their unsuccessful O.B.E. curriculum experiment. And provided guidance to the faculty at Seattle, Washington's Cleveland High School on their implementation of the NEA's Mastery Learning curriculum.
It was against this background that I launched my current entrepreneurial, freelance curriculum praxis. In this endeavor my aim is to minimized the "epistemic space" of the learner's "factical-lived-world" and the formal school experience. To be sure, the 'dysfunctional' consequences of the school-education shibboleth can be found in the dichotomy ... ; that is, THE HOW? is subordinate to the what? ergo learning and knowing succumbs to training. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Starting in high school my rise in football includes: three years (as a starter!) of varsity competition; All City (Memphis, TN.)recognition; Two years of Championship Army (First Division / Fort Riley, Kansas; Seventh Division / South Korea); Three Year Letterman Idaho State University football team; All Big Sky Conference Halfback (1964-1965); and free agent signee of the Miami Dolphins (1966). I coached high school varsity in Chicago, IL. for nine years; and one year of varsity coaching at Oakland, CA. I also have two years coaching at the junior high school level in Memphis, TN.
My golf resume' began in Memphis, TN. during my 6th grade schooling; and my collateral matriculation as a caddy. That was incipience of my golf acumen. For six
years I had the privilege of first-hand exposure to championship golf. I learn the fundamentals of the grip; stance; swing path-plan and swing rhythm and tempo. I also learned the logistic of the game from gauging distance and the recognition of wind and weather factors and club selection; and the humbling challenges of reading greens the putter stroke. With this background I taught beginning golf classes to inner-city, high school students in Chicago, IL. For a considerable part of my regular adult golfing life, I was a scratch-golfer; and more recently my 'senior-card' put me in the 10-12 handicap category.
