About Charles

Creative & hard working communications professional with 10 years of experience in radio, television, & film. A hands-on producer, writer, and journalist effective at creating, producing and supervising a diverse range of network and independent productions with a passion for turning the best ideas into shows and movies that entertain and inspire.

I am a graduate in Communications with a focus in Audio Production from Howard University and have experience working with programs such as Pro Tools and Logic Pro for over 8 years. In the past I have worked as an audio producer and an on air host with the radio stations 89.3 KPFB located in northern California’s bay area and WHBC830AM.com, which is a radio station at Howard University that is ran by students. I have also assisted in the development and production of other online radio shows while attending college in Washington D.C. and working for Youth Radio.

Since 2004 I have been producing instrumentals for both music and videos. In 2006, I released a musical project which consisted of my instrumentals mixed with the acapellas of Hip Hop artists such as Jay-Z and Rhythm and Blues artists such as Jamie Foxx and received accolades for my ability to balance my school work and music ventures in my University’s newspaper. In 2010, I produced both the original score and soundtrack to the short film “The Ticket” written and directed by Cameron Moore. In the past 2 years I have recorded, produced, and engineered entire albums for 2 artists as well as produced and engineered singles for others.

Currently I am working part-time for the Academy of Art University located in San Francisco, CA within their music department as a music lab technician while still producing and engineering music for independent artists as well as doing sound design for video productions. I have experience using the Avid/Digidesin C24, D-Command & Digital Mixing controllers as well as experience using Mackie brand Audio mixers. I am well versed in all the latest media equipment and have a good knowledge about the different processes and procedures involved to bring the most qualitative product in a particular media production. I believe in working in a team and am a creative and highly motivated person.
