Hi there! I'm Quinn. I'm an experienced professional looking to rekindle my passion for helping students be successful in their educational endeavors, particularly in STEM-related areas. I graduated summa cum laude and as valedictorian of my college, with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and minor in Business, continuing on to receive a M.S. in Engineering from Stanford while working in parallel.

My approach is always to find what works for the individual student I'm working with for a particular topic or subject, using some core lesson plans and checkpoints to ensure progress is being made. I do not give up easily and strive for students to take positives away from each session, even if there were some frustrating moments along the way. The rewarding part of tutoring for me is seeing the "lightbulb moments" students have when concepts finally click into place, and I'm skilled at using a variety of strategies to get there.

I've previously tutored many different math levels (Algebra 1 up to Multivariable Calculus) and performed exceptionally well in all math courses through high school and college, including all related standardized tests (AP Exams, SAT, SAT II, GRE). I have a knack for being able to approach problems from multiple angles, helping students find a method and tips/tricks that work best for them.

In my 10 year professional career, I've spent 6 years doing hands-on Engineering work in both hardware and software capacities and am known for my creative problem-solving abilities. I've worked on satellites, rockets, and IT systems in several different roles, and my broad range of experience helps provide unique perspective on how to apply the concepts learned in courses to real-world situations.

Feel free to reach out and schedule 5-10 minutes with me to chat through your current challenges, what you're looking for in a tutor, or any other questions that you have! I'll do my best to get back to you as soon as I can.

Extremely helpful

Today is our son's first session with Quinn. He is able to break down and explains the complex concepts very clearly. The step by step work is very helpful and encouraging when trying to solve stressful homework problems. We highly recommend Quinn!

Great Math Tutor

Quinn is very personable and works well with my child. He allowed time for my child to explain her thinking so that he could see where what she was doing wrong. And then he would explain better ways of approaching the problem.
