Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Business

I have worked as a top level executive in a number of corporate environments as a Director of Marketing including Hasbro and Mattel among others. I have an MBA from the USC Marshall School and still lecture there in the Economics program. I also teach the business curriculum at Otis School Art & Design for the Toy Design major. I have a vast knowledge of the components that make up the business tool kit including but not limited to: marketing, advertising, social media, legal, research, costing, licensing, packaging, trend analysis, etc.

Career Development

I have won awards for mentoring including The Wonder Woman of Toys national award (2005 - awarded in February 2006). I have been the personal advocate for dozens of students and job applicants over the years - helping them find ways to create networks and find jobs through personal selling. This is not easy in the internet age. I have helped hundreds of people get placed, get interviews and write and re-write resumes in my career. My methods are not the usual ones and often I am asked to lecture on this topic. I lecture frequently at Otis School of Art & Design in the Career Development class.
