Hello! My name is Kristin and I just graduated Magna Cum Laude from UC San Diego with my Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. I also triple minored in Business, Economics and History.

I received an A in both Algebra 1 and 2 when I took those classes. Math classes were always my favorite and something I excelled at. Often times, I would help my classmates learn how to better understand or approach a problem, so I have experience teaching math to middle school and high schoolers.

I received an A in AP chemistry and A's in my gen chem classes & labs during college. As someone who used to hate chemistry in high school because of the way my teacher taught the subject, I know some concepts can be difficult to grasp. However, with the right tools, techniques, and teaching methods, chemistry can be much less intimidating! I incorporate visuals and various explanations to help students understand different concepts.

I received an A in honors biology, AP Biology and passed the AP exam with a 5. During university, I took an abundance of biology courses, such as Human Reproduction, Cell Biology, Human Physiology, Endocrinology, etc., and had a 4.0 major GPA. If you need help in any of these courses, let me know and I'll try my best!

Lastly, with my minors, I had to write a lot of papers in college (50+), so I have quite a bit of experience in writing various types of papers. If you would like help brainstorming for a topic, researching, proofreading, etc. I can also help out with that :) I ask that you put whatever work you have on a Google Doc, invite me to comment, I will look over your work, and then we hop on a zoom meeting to discuss.

I love helping people accomplish their academic goals and know some of the material can be challenging! If you think we would be a good fit, feel free to contact me! I am also willing to help with any college admissions or general questions about UC San Diego (I was a campus ambassador for 2 years)

Biology,

Biology

I received an A in both honors biology and AP biology during my time in high school. Passed the AP exam with a 5. During university, I took and excelled in various specific topics of biology: - Cancer biology (A) - Endocrinology (A) - Microbiology lab (A+) - Human reproduction (A+) - Genetics (A) - Human physiology (A) - Genome Diversity and Dynamics (A+) - Molecular Biology (A)
Chemistry,

Chemistry

I used to hate chemistry because my high school teacher did a horrible job teaching the subject. However, in college I discovered with the right professor, who makes learning chemistry fun to learn, (and a bit of hard work of course lol), chemistry is not nearly as bad as I perceived it to be. I went on to switch my major from Bioengineering to Biochemistry and Cell biology because I enjoyed chemistry so much after receiving proper instruction. I ended up getting A's in my all my general chemistry classes and labs as well as in my AP chemistry classes during high school.
