I believe learning and creativity go hand in hand. The ability to learn without anxiety or stress can give us the freedom to explore new topics and grow. Applying this to my life, I am currently pursuing a dual doctorate degrees in Medicine and Microbiology/Molecular Genetics. I am excited to help you achieve your goals, both academically and in the way you approach learning in general.
I specialize in teaching subjects in my training, including a bachelor's degree in chemistry with a biochemistry emphasis, medical school curricula, and graduate level microbiology and molecular genetics. Specifically, I am prepared to tutor the following courses in math and science: biology, genetics, physiology, biochemistry, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, geometry, algebra, and precalculus. I also have experience in grant-writing.
I will reply to emails, voicemail, or text messages within 24 hours (usually within a few hours). I am happy to tutor after 5 PM on most weekdays as well as any time on Sundays.
I like to find quality study locations by communicating the potential students. Once you contact me requesting tutoring, we can arrange a tutoring location that works best for both of us.
I look forward to helping you find academic success! Please contact me with any questions. Dear Student:

I didn't think I'd get an idea of what I was doing in Chemistry but I do thanks to her! Conversion factors! I actually know how to do them now thanks to her! She is so great. She is patient and encouraging. I'm going to need her this whole semester.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
My academic training in genetics consists of undergraduate level (BIOL 311 - Genetics) and medical school level (MDCJ 554, 555, 556 - Cell Structure and Function) and graduate school level (MICR515 - Introduction to Bioinformatics and Genomics; MICR540 - Physiology and Molecular Genetics of Microbes; IBGS 511, 512 - Cell Mechanisms and Integrated Systems I and II) education on the subject. I tutored genetics during my undergraduate studies for the Biology Department at Southern Adventist University. In addition, I've recently written a peer-reviewed article on the subject of epigenetics: PMID 25572405.
