University of Redlands (Education)
A little about me, my name is Hali Covey and I'm currently a senior in college at the University of Redlands and am majoring in sociology as well as getting my teaching credentials, as I plan on hopefully being an elementary school teacher. With this, I have a ton of experience working with kids inside and outside the classroom and I really enjoy it! As part of my credentials, I have been required to perform multiple hours of fieldwork with children. I have experience working with children inside and outside of the classroom and I really enjoy ever minute of it. Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I honestly see it as a career that I enjoy rather than a job. I try and strive to be the best I can be and feel very rewarded when a student understands something that I have taught them or have been working on them with.
I want to try and work specifically with elementary school kids since that is the age group I plan on going into for teaching, but I don't mind tutoring high school students or middle schoolers in certain subjects as well. The more experience I can get,the better. Feel free to contact me at anytime if you think I might be a good match for your child, I look forward to working with you! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
