Loma Linda University - Graduate School (Graduate Coursework)
My name is Jacklyn. I am currently enrolled in a Dual Degree program at Loma Linda University pursuing my DDS degree alongside an MA in Bioethics. I graduated from UC San Diego in 2012 with a BS in Human Biology and a BA in Philosophy.
I am especially helpful in the sciences, from elementary up to the college level. However, I can also tutor math from the elementary level up to algebra I. I am also good with English, literature, and philosophy courses and can help improve your writing process, check grammar, and revise essays. I typically work with kids from the middle school level up to college students.
I am extremely patient and will do my best to adapt my teaching techniques to your learning style. I hope to meet you or your child soon.

Jacklyn has been working with my 7th grader in math, including beginning algebra. She is caring, conscientious, and extremely patient. Her logical and methodical approach has been very helpful. I highly recommend her.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
A large majority of my students have been middle school and high school students so Algebra 1 is one of my most common tutoring subjects. Students have been very appreciative of my patience and my multiple approaches to find what works best for them.
I just recently took Anatomy 1 in Spring 2014 at Santa Monica College. I passed the course with an A.
I am currently taking a Biblical ethics course as part of my MA in Bioethics. Since I attend Loma Linda University, many of my other bioethics courses are discussed in a Biblical/Christian context.
As a dental student, I have extensively studied anatomy, pathology, biochemistry, and physiology.
I graduated UC San Diego with a B.S. in Human Biology. I have taken several upper division biology courses, including genetics, physiology, endocrinology, microbiology, and biochemistry.
I have also regularly tutored basic middle school and high school level biology.
I am currently a third year dental student at Loma Linda University. I can aid in DAT prep studying or simply providing advice on how to get into dental school, include application prep. I can also tutor in dental anatomy, occlusion, or help with hand skills.
Since I have studied philosophy and bioethics over the last 6 years, I have written my fair share of papers. I have perfected the brainstorming, outlining, and drafting process. I can also proof-read essays for both grammar and context in a variety of fields, ranging from high school literature papers to scientific research proposals.
