Hi! I'm David. I received a bachelor's degree in physics from Taylor University in 2016, graduating cum laude with a 3.55 GPA and ranking in the 97th percentile on the ETS Major Field Test for Physics. I have taught and tutored in a nonoccupational capacity many times at the college, high school and middle school levels, as well as being employed as a teacher's assistant for three junior-level physics classes: Analytical Mechanics, Math Methods in Physics & Engineering, and Modern Physics....

Hi! I'm David. I received a bachelor's degree in physics from Taylor University in 2016, graduating cum laude with a 3.55 GPA and ranking in the 97th percentile on the ETS Major Field Test for Physics. I have taught and tutored in a nonoccupational capacity many times at the college, high school and middle school levels, as well as being employed as a teacher's assistant for three junior-level physics classes: Analytical Mechanics, Math Methods in Physics & Engineering, and Modern Physics. Teaching is a passion that I intend on cultivating through further engagements leading into an academic career.

My college experience included two years of research in experimental low-temperature physics, and six months of research in theoretical particle physics. These experiences—along with an advanced curriculum including classes on subjects such as quantum field theory and abstract algebra—placed me an experiential and mathematical step beyond most graduating seniors. With that said, I am comfortable tutoring most high school and college-level subjects like Algebra, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Physics, and many more. Tell me what you need help with and I'll let you know if it's in my repertoire.

I've expanded that repertoire well beyond the realm of math and science. After receiving my degree, I chose to take a gap year primarily to attend a 9-month ministry school. That decision reflects my long-term aspirations. I seek to become not only an excellent teacher but also an empathetic listener. While three of my undergraduate professors explicitly told me that I have great potential as a physics teacher, others have lavishly complimented not only my physics presentations but also my mentoring and leadership abilities. These are fruits of my innate desire to be excellent in all that I do.

I am currently an adjunct professor at Simpson University. Please send me any questions and let me know if there's a time you would like to meet.

David Builds Confidence & Preps Well for ACT / SAT

Our daughter scored well in school but struggled with both the SAT and ACT. David patiently reviewed the type of questions she will face, and helped her to identify and learn the skills / strategies she will need to succeed. She says she is more confident, and is already more hopeful. Bottom line: We're super-satisfied!
