I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from UCI and am working my way to get into dental school. I recently took my DAT exam, so I have constantly been reviewing and refreshing my memory of all the science and math topics and am excited to help others. I also have experience teaching biology to students ranging from middle schoolers to college students during tutoring services offered by schools. Although I mostly enjoy biology, I am definitely open to tutoring other subjects such as writing, reading, math, psychology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, etc.
My goal in tutoring is to not only help you understand the material but to also make it more interesting and motivate you to become excited about what you are learning about. It can be very difficult to learn about something when you have absolutely no interest in the topic! I can say from my own experiences during high school and university that I performed much better when I tried to enjoy the material rather than purely memorizing things I had no interest in. Therefore, I always try to incorporate funny mnemonics and ways of remembering things so the material you learn will actually stick and make much more sense.
