I'm a young professional who has spent the past year working in marketing. I recently returned to my native Orange County after living in Alabama for more than 15 years, and I'm using the extra time I have while I try changing fields to tutor. As someone who has always had a passion for education, I admire the people willing to ask for help learning something important or just looking to teach themselves something new.
I have a degree in Political Science and a minor in English. Subjects related to government/history and writing/grammar are my strongest points, but I was always an excellent student in math and sciences. I have also passed the Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT) as part of the hiring process with the US State Department.

Immediately my son took to Chris and his personality. Chris has that big brother attitude and I was pleased to find out that a teacher is in his immediate family. My son can be very "creative" when it comes to reasons NOT to do homework so I am looking forward to Chris pushing my son to be at his best.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
