In addition, I teach test preparation for both the Fundamental of Engineering (FE) and Professional Engineering (PE) exams. My main focus is on preparing students for the Civil Fundamental Exam (FE) to get EIT (Engineering-In-Training) certificate and helping engineers pass the breadth and depth (Structural and Geotechnical) section of the PE Civil exam to become licensed as a Civil Professional Engineer. Also, I help Engineers with one other discipline of the PE Civil exam, Water Resources, although my concentration is on the Structural and Geotechnical discipline.
Since having experience in solving multiple-choice problems is important as much as learning the concepts, I have provided a lot of multiple-choice practice problems related to each subject like a real test for my FE exam students. We work on several of them at the end of each week to review what we learn during the week.
The rate of FE and PE preparation class is $58/hr. There are group Discounts. (For 2 people is $98/hr and for3 people is $117/hr)

Because of my M.S. degree in Earthquake engineering, I can help engineers pass the Seismic Principles exam as one of the state-specific examinations of California. Also, I know Surveying very well, so I can help engineers pass the Engineering Surveying as another state-specific examination of California.

I have an effective approach including step-by-step instruction for each subject to make problems easy and straightforward for students.
My students always tell me I explain subjects very clearly and make difficult problems easy and i

Knowledgeable, flexible, easy to work with

Kashi works with me on statics. He's very knowledgeable and helps me to more easily apply concepts to problems. Hale has some very good ways to remember aspects of math and statics. Super flexible and easy to work with. I'll continue to retain him as a tutor. Lucky to have found him.

Patient and Understanding

I needed help with my structural engineering coursework, and Kashi was able to break down the material in the easiest way so I could understand the assignments and prepare for quizzes. He works out the problems step by step with you to make sure you can comprehend the material. This has helped me extensively for all my quizzes and tests in class so I achieve a high grade. I look forward to more lessons with him for any more structural engineering classes I have in the future!

Knowledgeable and helpful.

Statics and Mechanics of Materials - broke down every step to make understanding easy. Appreciated the fact that he did’t assume I already knew the material. Provided notes and was thorough.

Good tutor

I’ve been using wyzant for awhile now and found a few good tutors to help me get through my current Engineering courses. Kashi is one of them! He’s great at breaking things down to its simplest form. When it comes to learning styles; some people are auditory and some people are visual, or just both. I’m a visual learner. My professors mumbles a lot and his hand writing is difficult to understand. The class average on the first exam was in the D range. I’m glad I found Kashi as he me visualized the concepts in my strength of materials course. He helped me correctly set up my FBDs, calculate various loads, help me to correctly draw my shear and moment diagrams and much more. I’m doing good in my strength of materials course and I owe part of that success to Kashi!
