About Bridgette

I love to teach and that is what I have done for the past 15+ years. I did not start out as a teacher, however, but have found that passion and career as part of a long and fulfilling journey through Engineering and Law School.

I was an engineer for 6 years before deciding to go to Law School. I attended Law School at Southwestern Law School in the evenings while doing exciting engineering stuff by day. When I got out of Law School, I worked for a Federal Bankruptcy Judge in the Central District of California (Los Angeles), then hung up my own shingle, then went to work for "Big Law Firm" for several years as a litigator, then decided that litigation was not the lifestyle for me when I got pregnant. I have been teaching distance education for over 15 years now and am loving it.

For 10 years, I was the Assistant Dean of Students and a Professor of Legal Analysis and Writing at Concord Law school. I wrote a significant portion of the Legal Analysis and Writing curriculum and the academic support program to assist students in succeeding in law school. My job was to teach law school students how to do well in law school by understanding what was expected of them. I counseled students on everything from substantive law to the rules of succeeding in law school: how to effectively and efficiently study; produce quality outlines; draft quality law school essays; and staying motivated.

I also owned my own tutoring business for a little over 4 years where I provided individualized one-on-one tutoring based on each student's specific learning style. I tutored law school students, paralegals, and undergraduate students. Also, I continued to employ teaching the rules of how to do well in law school: effective and efficient study techniques; producing quality outlines, and effective writing of essays, memorandum, and briefs.

For 8 years, I was an Associate Professor of Law at Southwestern Law school specializing in academic support courses and bar related courses. My speciality is not only helping students with the substantive material but to teach them how to study more effectively and efficiently. . . how to go into an exam prepared and confident - knowing that there is nothing that they can throw at you in an exam that you cannot handle.

I specialize in tutoring anything that involves the law. I tutor students in law school as well as students preparing for the Bar Exam. I also tutor students that are in undergraduate or paralegal programs concentrating on law. I have taught legal research and writing for over 15 years and can assist with any writing assignment.

One of my goals is to not only teach the student the particular topic/subject but to give them the tools to succeed with any assignment or assessment.

I have been tutoring students all over the country with their respective bar exams for the past 15 years. I have worked for a law school and a bar exam tutoring company as a bar teacher and grader. I have a 100% bar passing rate for my students. The key is to do the work and stay consistent in your resolve.

I am available for tutoring most days and am flexible enough to work within your schedule. My mode of tutoring is online but can make exceptions if necessary. I can also do packages at a discount rate - contact me for details. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you to achieve your goals!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Bar Exam

I have worked in academia since June 2001. I was the Assistant Dean of Students and Professor of Legal Analysis and Writing for over 10 years at Concord Law School. I also owned my own tutoring company (Law Coaches, LLC) from May 2007 - July 2011 tutoring law students through law school as well as tutoring students for the Bar exam in their respective states. From June 2008 - January 2016, I taught Bar Review subjects at Southwestern Law School.

She is amazing! — I only planned to have classes with Bridgette once per week but since she has given me so many great tips for my incoming BAR Exam, I asked her to change it to twice per week, she has great methods and will take you step by step. Also, the online classes are pretty flexible and we make work. I definitely recommend her. ...
