Keith helped my daughter with AP Chemistry. She had a much better grasp of lesson plan after meeting with Keith.
Thank you for leaving positive feedback and for your kind words. I hope to meet you on another occasion. It was pleasure to meet and instruct Rachel. As Rachel continues to progress and perhaps meet challenges, you're welcome to contact me to schedule additional lessons.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been programming professionally using C++ since 2006. I took both a UCLA Extension C++ course (2006) and a Northrop Grumman Corporation C++ course (2007).
Sample programs available upon request! C++, for which I'm previously qualified, is a superset of C. I have programmed in embedded C professionally at Goodrich Aerospace and Curtiss Wright Controls.
In my college (undergraduate and graduate) years, I was rated approximately 1550 (USCF). I've been interested at various levels since then(1973-1984). I would share the highlights of my Chess career(including the defeat of a National Master in a Simultaneous exhibition) and train beginning players. My strength is Openings and the Middle game more than Endings. I have many books to share!
I hold a PhD in Chemistry (UCLA). I have published papers in major Chemistry journals. I have taken several Organic Chemistry semester length courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Published paper references available upon request. This past summer, I tutored a University of California student in Organic Chemistry.
